Now, Doctor Aphra #17 reveals that Farrus is about to uncover a major discovery involving the Ascendant, and it may lead to overcoming death itself, according to the dark archaeologist. In Marvel Comics Star Wars, its been revealed that Han Solo was a large inspiration for the newest iteration of Crimson Dawn. As a result, one of Aphra's rivals named Kho Phon Farrus has made it their crusade to locate these relics while also attempting their dark rituals (including one involving several severed arms). Despite not being Force-sensitives, the Ascendant was obsessed with the dark side, creating artifacts and devices that would allow them to mimic Force abilities and weapons such as the Thought Dowser and the Whip of Sorrows.
